One of the biggest questions in life is this: "If I am doing good, then why am I still suffering?" Almost everyone has asked this question at some point. You may know someone who is honest, kind, helps others, worships God sincerely and still struggles with illness, financial problems or family troubles. At the same time, another person may live carelessly, hurt others and yet appear to enjoy success. Looking only at this one lifetime, it seems unfair. But Karma Vipāka Saṁhitā gives a very different answer. In the beautiful dialogue between Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, Lord Shiva explains that our present life is only one chapter in a much longer journey of the soul. The body changes, but the soul carries its karma from one birth to another. Every action, every thought and every word leaves an impression, and none of them are ever lost. This is why a person may be doing good today and still face suffering. The difficulties being experienced now may belong to Prārabdha Karma, the portion of past karma that has become ready to give results in this birth. At the same time, the good actions performed today are creating new positive karma, but like a seed, they also need the right season before they bear fruit. Think of a farmer. He may sow fresh seeds today, but the field may still contain weeds left from the previous season. The presence of weeds does not mean the new seeds are useless. It simply means that old and new cycles are running together. Lord Shiva also reminds us that karma is not created only by physical actions. Our thoughts, intentions and speech also become part of our karmic account. That is why inner purity is just as important as outer actions. So, never think that your good deeds are going unnoticed. The law of karma never forgets and never fails. Every righteous action has its own time to blossom. Good karma is never wasted. It is only waiting for its proper time. Jai Guru Dev Vinayak Bhatt
