Long ago in Ujjain, a rich merchant named Dhanpal had everything — wealth, gold, elephants, land, and fame.
But one day, things started disappearing.
His stored grain vanished. His gold melted in fire. His ships sank. His own son left him.
A saint came to his house and said something strange:
“You are not cursed. You are being followed by a shadow.
This shadow does not take your money. It takes your satisfaction.
As long as you don’t feed what is hungry inside you, it will keep eating from outside.”
Dhanpal didn’t understand, but he began having strange dreams of a dark woman holding a broken pot.
No matter how much food he gave her, the pot never got full.
This was Alakshmi — the shadow of wealth.
The opposite of Lakshmi.
My Understanding :
When a person has wealth without gratitude, or pleasure without seva, when food is eaten with ego, not shared —
Alakshmi enters quietly, like a shadow.
She doesn’t steal the money — she steals the value of money.

Let’s decode this strange story using pure BNN rules — the same way Maharishi Bhrigu would have read it.
- Alakshmi Yog = Venus with Ketu or Rahu in Dusthana (6th, 8th, 12th) or with Saturn
Venus = Wealth, Food, Pleasure, Wife, Lakshmi
Ketu = Disconnection, Shadow, Dryness
Rahu = Endless hunger, illusion, bad association
Saturn = Karma, Delay, Emptiness
BNN Rule:
If Venus is with Ketu or Rahu, especially in 6th or 12th, or hemmed between malefics, the person may have wealth without joy, food without taste, house without love.
