Guru Purnima Message

Today is Guru Purnima.

I wanted to record a full video for all of you explaining something very deep and close to my heart. But due to a sudden medical emergency at home, I could not sit down and do justice to the topic. Still, this message must reach you today, because Guru Purnima is not just a day — it is a portal.

A time when the grace of knowledge flows freely from the original sources of Jyotish. So, I request you to quietly do a simple but powerful ritual at home today. I am also doing the same at my end.

We often speak about Jyotish in the name of books and authors. But very few students reflect on this:

Who Actually Gave this Knowledge?

There are three sacred mouths through which Jyotish has flowed.

First is Deva-mukha — when Gods themselves reveal the truth. Like Bhagavan Krishna speaking in the Gita, or the Sun God teaching Maya the Surya Siddhanta. These are not ideas — these are divine downloads. The purest, cleanest rays of wisdom.

Second is Rishi-mukha — when the great seers experience the same truths and bring it down to Earth through tapasya. Like Maharishi Parashara, Bhrigu, and others. They translate divine law into human understanding. They make it living, breathing, and applicable.

Third is Acharya-mukha — when the wise masters take the teachings and organise it for us. Like Varahamihira, Kalyan Varma, and others. They create frameworks, rules, chapters, and instructions so that we can walk the path step by step.

These three are not just categories — they are currents of grace.

When you study Jyotish, you are supposed to touch all three.

So today, on this holy Guru Purnima, I am doing one simple sadhana, and I request all of you to do the same.

Pick one small section from each of the three levels.

Read one shloka or paragraph from a divine source — maybe a verse from the Bhagavad Gita or Surya Siddhanta. Close your eyes and ask: What is this verse trying to destroy inside me? Write that answer down.

Then, read one shloka or section from a Rishi’s work — maybe Bṛhat Parashara Hora Shastra. Choose a shloka that speaks about any one house or planet. Ask yourself: Do I really live this wisdom in my own life, or do I only read it for clients?

Lastly, read one paragraph from an Acharya — it could be from Bṛhat Jataka or Saravali. Just one paragraph is enough. Copy it down by hand. When you do that, the acharya begins to sit inside your handwriting.

This small ritual will do more for your Jyotish than ten lectures. Because it invites the three real Gurus — the God, the Rishi, and the Acharya — to return to your inner life.

Remember, Guru Purnima is not a day to collect more techniques. It is a day to clean the vessel, so that true light can enter.

If you do this today with sincerity, something will shift inside you — silently, permanently.

I bow to all my Gurus, visible and invisible, and I pray that the same power of guidance flows into your life and your chart-reading.

Do it with full heart. I am doing the same.

Jai Guru Dev
